What's A NazarenE?

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church. The denomination was officially organized in 1908 through a uniting of several Christian groups who are committed to missoins and to living life as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Nazarenes accept as true the doctrines which Christians have always accepted, expressed in the Apostle’s Creed. Our worship is informal, spirited, and joyful. Our welcome is extended to all who would seek to know God’s love expressed in Jesus Christ.

Our primary worship service takes place at 10:45 on Sunday mornings.   It is a lively service that focuses on praising God, exploring His Word, and applying it to our lives. Our worship includes the entire family. Our Youth Director has a special moment with the children during the service and all groups are included in singing and in prayer. Children are dismissed at the offering time for a time of worship that is focused at their age. You are welcome to “come as you are” and to participate as you can.   Stand for singing as you wish. Participate in all aspects of worship as you feel led. We will not embarrass you. We ask that you respect others who are worshipping by silencing your cell phones, finish food and drinks (except water) before you enter the worship space, and join in with an open heart.

We have many encounter groups that will help you to learn more about the Bible and to connect to a small group of people who will help you and encourage you on your journey of faith. These groups can change from time to time, but always include Sunday morning Encounters at 9:30 a.m.
